Schizophrenia appears to be a deficiency of zinc.

Issues with zinc:

  • zinc is a metal that does not dissolve in water (blood plasma)
  • zinc must be trasported by other molecules, chelated, zinc chapter link
  • some forms cannot work such as zinc-gluconate, useless in the body, not a zinc supplement
  • using zinc-gluconate will not give any improvements to schizophrenia

Symptoms of schizophrenia:

  • chronic, severe mental disorder
  • feels like lost touch with reality
  • often diabling
  • bizarre delusions or delusions of persecution
  • social withdrawal
  • poor hygiene
  • lack of motivation
  • poor judgement / attention / executive functions
  • being paranoid
