Schizophrenia appears to be a deficiency of zinc.
Issues with zinc:
- zinc is a metal that does not dissolve in water (blood plasma)
- zinc must be trasported by other molecules, chelated, zinc chapter link
- some forms cannot work such as zinc-gluconate, useless in the body, not a zinc supplement
- using zinc-gluconate will not give any improvements to schizophrenia
Symptoms of schizophrenia:
- chronic, severe mental disorder
- feels like lost touch with reality
- often diabling
- bizarre delusions or delusions of persecution
- social withdrawal
- poor hygiene
- lack of motivation
- poor judgement / attention / executive functions
- being paranoid
